Be Thou At Peace

Posted by Ryan Poe on November 8, 2003:

From as far back as I can remember, I do not have a childhood memory that does not include Todd. I can remember the days when Tiff, Todd, Colin, Kerry, Keith, and I would gather on hot summer days to play golf, clue or any other mischief we could get in to. I still can see Todd coming over to my house having to walk all the way around the culdesac because Linda and Larry did not want him to cross the street. He could always make me laugh, even when I was upset. I will always remeber you for that, Todd!

Todd and I became drinking buddies once we both turned 21. I can remember going over to his house, sitting in the game room, and making dacquiries...with Linda's help of course! I had promised him when he came back from Iraq that we would do more of that! It was our bonding time.

I had the opportunity of introducing Todd to Jen...and little did I know it would turn out to be one of the best things I will ever do in my life. I was able to make two people I care about tremendously the happiest they have ever been and filled them both with a love that is most desireable.

I have always considered Todd as well as Larry, Linda, Tim, and Tiff as part of my family and on August 30th, 2002, Jen, you became part of that family! I will love you always and be here for you when you need me!

Todd is a hero and as a friend of mine said, "A man that died with the highest of honor." While I no longer have you physically here with me, you will always have a place just for you in my heart! You have made me a better person in seeing the way you love life, your family, and most of all Jen. I will never forget you.
