Be Thou At Peace

Posted by Colin Poe on November 8, 2003:

Todd and I have been friends for as far back as I can remember. I learned so much from Todd. He taught me about girls, football, and just life itself. He was a great friend and was there for me always, whether it was the breakup with my girlfriend, telling him about whats happening in football, or just if I needed to come over and hang out when I was in a bad mood. No matter how down I was about something, Todd would always make me feel better.
It never mattered how old Todd and I got, if I was down or hurting inside, he would be there to make me feel better, by either playing football in the yard, shooting baskets, playing video games, or telling jokes to get a smile on my face. One of my greatest moments with Todd was when we were in La Canada and we were waiting for his dad to pick us up. We went over and waited at the public library, but after a while we were getting bored. I don't know how, but we ended up playing hide-and-go seek inside the library and ended up getting kicked out. After this, Todd and I made it a regular thing to go to a public place and try to get kicked out of it. I am going to miss these stupid little games Todd and I played just to keep ourselves entertained.
I am thankful for getting the chance to know Todd the way I did. He had my back, and I had his. He was like a big brother to me and cared for me and wanted me to succeed in everything I did. I actually think that he was harder on me then my parents were. If I did something bad in school or sports, he would let me know about. I quess it's safe to say that he is his mother's son.
The day I heard about Todd's passing was one of the worst days of my life. It was the day I lost my brother. I love Todd and I'm going to miss all the talks and great times we had. I will miss all of the stupid little inside jokes we had and making fun of our sisters and parents together. Todd, I never told you this, but I love you and I want to thank you for everything you have done for me. Also thank you for keeping me in my place and caring for me like you did. It's going to be hard without you and I promise you I will remember everything you taught me. Thank you for all of the great times and memories.
Todd died in great honor. His life and legacy will not be forgotten. He was and great man and soldier, who died fighting for the good of humanity.
Linda, Larry, Tiffany, and Tim. I want to tell how sorry I am. I loved Todd just like family and I am going to miss him greatly. If you guys ever need anything, I am here for you.

Todd, thankyou for being my best friend and brother. I love you.

Love, Colin
