David Eaithell Rogers

Born March 15, 1926 - Died March 6, 1985

David Eaithell "Dave" Rogers was born in Arkansas on 15 March 1926 and was appointed to West Point from the 3rd Congressional District of Texas.

His West Point classmates recall: "Hailing from Texas, Dave arrived with the determination to become an efficient officer by striving to get the most from four years. Never troubled by such trivialities as tenths or quill, he was able to devote much time to the problems of others, in particular those of the Debate Council. Tops with Classmates and femmes alike, the Air Force has received the best the Point can offer."

During his cadet days Dave was on the Debate Council all four years and served as Secretary and President of same; was with Bugle Notes plebe, yearling and cow years; was with the German Club yearling and cow years; on the Honor Committee first class year; and was a Cadet Lieutenant his first class year.

Upon graduation, Dave went in the Air Force and after flying training reported to his first duty station. In 1957, Dave was assigned to the 545th Bomb Squadron. The record also indicates that Dave was a Lieutenant Colonel. That is the only record of Dave from readily available records. The Class lists him among those with whom we have not been able to communicate, however he is listed as having died on March 6, 1985 by WP-ORG.
