| Wow, its July 2007, Ive been out of the academy for a year and Im in Korea and randomly googled this page. Im in the class of 2006. Ben was my rugby teammate, my company mate(H-4), and I also sat with him at every at the same table for every meal his firstie year. I still remember Ben coming to borrow my India Whites to wear for Ring Weekend cause I was the only guy his size and he obviously didnt have his on him. When I wore those India whites as a firstie for my ring weekend and graduation dinner I though about him as I put them on. It hurts me to know that people like Ben are no longer with us. But it makes me proud to know that Ben died with a purpose in life by serving his country and making the ultimate sacrifice. I miss you Ben, and I hope that in my time here in the Army I can come close to accomplishing what you have. |
