Jim and I were lucky to have lived on Winans Road at West Point, and to have had Patti and Joe Bishop as our neighbors. Our youngest child Bobby and their son Michael "Mikey" were good friends. Patti and I both left West Point knowing that our husbands were bound for Vietnam, and it was so difficult for me when I heard that Joe had been killed. I think he died at Hue. Joe and Patti were such a great couple, and I will always remember them. |
