| Today is January 30, 2004. I have just found out that my best friend in High school was killed in Iraq the day before my birthday. I don't know how to feel right now. I will miss Leif. He is the greatest person I know and he did everything he said he was going to do. When I went to visit him at West Point in 1997, he told me he was going to drive tanks. I believed him. He thought it was cool that I drive submarines for a living. We had plans of keeping in touch and getting together once in a while. I will miss him and always remember him. God Bless you Leif. I know you are with him looking down on us all. |
