Al and I were initially company mates in G-1 company. Al was a straight shooter. You always knew where you stood with him. His focus was on getting a commission and serving in the Army. As a Filipino he had a special motivation. As fellow Infantrymen we would meet from time to time to exchange experiences and socialize. But it wasn't until after we retired that I saw Al at his full success. He lived in Hawaii where he had become a successful businessman. Al, you fought the fight and now can rest, well done. |
