Be Thou At Peace

Posted by Gib Rossetter on March 20, 2004:

Just found this sight by chance. I was a platoon sgt. in VN in 1970. I was blessed to have had Cpt.Workman(Ranger) as my CO for 3 months. Most of us would go anywhere with Don. I can tell by the posted eulogies as to why we would have. He used that "Parade Voice" in silence at times also. Issuing commands with his eyes. They were so intense on his mission. I was quoted in his eulogy written by a friend at the academy years later. I believe his name was Lombeer, and I said he was a great leader and we would have done anything for him. I can picture him as that fierce goalie on the Lacrosse team and a great partier. I too miss him dearly and think of him often. Currahee Ranger
