I just this past week learned of Roy's passing and wanted to say to his family and friends that Roy was undoubtedly "one of the best" I ever knew. I worked for Roy a short time in the 1970s when I was a junior officer and he had just made Colonel. It was a stressful assignment, but he never lost his sense of humor about it. We again crossed career paths a few times in the AF and later most often in Industry. I always looked forward to it! He made an indelible impression on us all, a lasting impression of humor, loyalty and love of life. Roy, you are missed, and it was an honor and a pleasure knowing you on this Earth, Sir.
