| George Emmett Maxon was my father's best friend. They met as cadets at West Point. Their's was a lifelong friendship which never grew stale. My parents had no brothers so Emmett was "Uncle Emmett" to us. He was a great man who served his country and his community. He always had many great stories to tell about his West Point days with my dad and their days with the 27th Fighter Wing. I will always remember him with great affection. |
