Be Thou At Peace

Posted by Robert L. Hawkins, III on June 18, 2008:

I come back here from time to time to read the thoughts of so many, and to reflect on the sorrow I felt at Amos' funeral...yet also the tremendous feeling of comraderie, family and community present on that occasion. I came away with not just a sense of loss but with a deeper appreciation for life, people, those I still have around me, even those I see rarely.

I think of this extraordinary young man, and also of his family, on more days than not. I know I'm only one of many who add prayers for him, for them, now and then.

Deo Vindice.
