Be Thou At Peace
Posted by Katie Kennedy on April 20, 2004:
Rick, It has taken me awhile to figure out what to say to you. Words are so cheap, that I didn't/don't want to cheapen your death. You were amazing as a classmate, peer, project partner, friend. I know I would have made it through systems, but you made the projects fun. You pushed me when I'd rather have been the runner to go pick up pizza and ice cream. Your thought process and outlook is still with me today and will live on in the choices I make. You gave me the tools to think deeper and clearer than any teacher could teach me to. I was looking forward to getting together in the years to come to be able to look back an laugh at me pulling you away from studying to go taste home brewed beer or making you go down to the firstie club to be social. Even when I got into trouble you stood by my side. You Rick, were and always will be a true friend. May God be with you and your family. Katie
To Christy, I am so sorry for your loss. I am sorry that I was not at school with you to help you through the tough times. I'm sure G3 came together to provide you the support you needed until you could get home and once you returned. I'm also sure they filled the church showing their support. Know that I am a friend and am only an e-mail or phone call away. God be with you. Katie
