Be Thou At Peace

Posted by Mary St. Onge on April 21, 2004:

I waited a couple of days to write a eulogy for Erin because I really was at a loss of words and did not know what to write in the midst of my confusion.

However, I just bought a Christian CD which made me realize what I was feeling.

FFH...Far From Home

The song that brought out my feelings was "Good to Be Free"

The Chorus goes like this:

It's good to be free
It's good to be free from all the pain
It's good to be free
It's good to hear You say my new name
It's good to be free
It's good to know you've stood in the place of blame for me
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
It's good to be free

As I listened to this song this morning on my way home from the gym I almost started to cry...because I realized that no matter what we called her, Bruce, BOSS, or Erin, she is with Jesus and He has given her a new name.

Erin, I can't wait to see you there and find out what your true name is.

I will miss your smile...rest in peace,
Mary
