Be Thou At Peace

Posted by Ramon M. Ong on May 12, 2004:

Ted and I were in the Army Swimming Team for 4 years. He wasn't very tall (a runt like me, maybe that's why I liked him), but he was tough, and the overabundance of rippling muscles on his frame was the envy of many. He swam the butterfly and it was a pleasure to watch him churn the water and slide in and out of the surface as he sped on to victory and additional points for the Army Swimming Team.

Ted had West Point blood in him because a couple of ancestors had preceded him to the Academy. Ted carried on that tradition proudly and added more luster to the Wildrick name as he served the US Army well for 20 years.

Our paths never crossed after Graduation Day because we served different countries. But I never forgot this friendly guy from Florida, a fellow Army Engineer. Be thou at peace, amigo!
