Be Thou At Peace

I am honored to have taught Alfie for four years at Farragut High School in Knoxville, Tennessee. He was a member of our band programs while there. I remember him his 9th grade year. Long hair, baggy clothes and a motorcycle. I enjoyed watching him grow as a young man. I was also very proud to call him one of mine when he entered West Point. His family was a big supporter of our band program and will always have a special place in our hearts. Music was also a very important part of his life. It was very noticable in his everyday activities. When I saw his West Point friends tonight, I understood the loss thay were feeling. I feel it too. Alfie will be treasured in our hearts.
