Although we did not know your son, we also have a son who is a plebe at West Point. We want to tell you that although we cannot fully understand your sense of grief and loss, we still feel it deeply. Please know that we will lift you up to the Father Who promises to comfort us in times of loss and grief. Since we've heard that Cadet Fein was a member of OCF (our son is also), we assume that you have the many promises of God to comfort you in your loss. We leave you with this one: I Cor. 15:55,57: "O death, where is your victory? O death, where is your sting?...but thanks be to God, who gives us the VICTORY through our Lord Jesus Christ." We trust that Gordon is now resting in the arms of Jesus. Please know that our prayers will be with you as you walk through this great trial. Jim and Nancy Burdick |
