Be Thou At Peace

Posted by Lisa Krupinsky Paul on May 20, 2004:

My brother and I loved looking through my Dad's (Marvin Krupinsky) West Point year books and hearing stories about his Cadet days with friends and roommates. And hearing what those friends and roommates had gone on to do. We were especially impressed with Rollo Tausch who we thought looked like a young Tab Hunter. We really thought he sounded like a romantic movie hero when we heard how Gerry "canoed up the Mekong" to join him on one leg of a Viet Nam tour. We were glad to reconnect with the man behind the pictures at the West Point 50th anniversary. And my brother and I saw and understood first-hand how this wonderful man could inspire such love from Gerry and the respect and decades long friendship of his West Point friends. Rollo, you will be sorely missed even by us West Point kids who knew you best from tattered yearbooks and old soldiers' stories.
