Be Thou At Peace

I was blessed to have a great visit with Jeff at Ft. Lewis, WA during the summer of 2006. Just as I remembered him from our cadet days, he was highly motivated. He was involved in developing ROTC cadets into lieutenants that summer and his passion was obvious. I'm pleased to have known Jeff as a friend. He was a good man. What comforts me most after being shocked to hear of his death is knowing without a doubt that his trust in Christ alone for his salvation was genuine. I know Jeff was, and is, a friend of God. Now he's celebrating being more whole and complete than we'll ever be this side of heaven. I do pray for his family. I cannot claim to imagine how it would feel to get this tragic news about the loss of a spouse, child, or parent. I pray for the peace that passes all understanding to envelop them all. I am glad to have this opportunity to express my thoughts about a fellow member of the Class of 1985. Jeff Pike Nacogdoches, TX |
