| He was my Grandfather. He was an army football player and captain of the basketball team. As a member of the Army Air Corps and then the Air Force, he reached the rank of full Colonel and commanded bases in England during WWII and again in Korea. He was awarded 5 DSC's and 4 Air Medals. He was killed while on leave in an aircraft accident. He continues to be an inspiration to our family and a great credit to the long gray line. |
