Norm and I were in adjacent companies at USMA, Norm in L-2 and I in M-2. So we saw each other many times while cadets. In addition both Norm and I were assigned to study German so we attended the same section of German classes for most of two years. I never had felt anything but cheerful friendship with Norm except when I felt grateful that he helped me with learning German. Not having been stationed close since 1951, our families have not become acquainted, but having know Norm, it would have been a pleasure to have been close. Best wishes to Norm's family, and I would like to meet you if you pass by, Margaret and I live in Dallas, TX. |
