Be Thou At Peace

Posted by William Northrop on September 12, 2009:

Dan was my classmate at The Citadel before he entered West Point. I last saw him when The Citadel played Army in the fall of 1964. At the time, he told us that being a "Plebe" at the Point was a great deal easier than being a "Knob" at The Citadel. For our part, we proffered that his new school was simply a sinister plot to postpone his Southeast Asian Tour by a couple of years.

I remember him as being a good guy ... smart, quiet, dependable and loved the Army. He is remembered and missed. It is also rare and interesting to note that he is listed on two Military College websites. So, here's to you, classmate, and to those who would have been your sons. Rest in Peace.
