Be Thou At Peace

Posted by Linda Kean Merli on July 31, 2004:

I miss my father very much. I know that he loved the military and retired a full colonel. He loved people, in his young days he loved to laugh and was full of jokes. I write this eulogy today because he made a better father than he did all of his other jobs. He used to let my sister and I walk all over him after a hard days work. Chicken across the road we called it. He was a man not afraid to cry if the moment struck him that way. I never doubt for one minute that I was not loved by my father. His 78th birthday would have been in two days. I am sorry we lost him so early. He loved Jesus and I have great comfort knowing that he is with his savior. Thank you Daddy, Love Linda
