Mary, I was stationed with you at Sandia base in 1952 -1956. You and Bill came to my wedding. (My wife, Jane passed away July 23). I was impressed with Bill (Col. Gernert to me then). He always had a smile on his face. I never heard him say a harsh word and he treated everyone the same - regardless of rank. I never forgot the kindness and consideration you and Bill showed to this newly-wed junior officer and his wife. Jane also had fond memories when I told her of your news that was posted in your class motes. May God Bless and help you through your grief. |
