To the family of Andy Houghton: The "giving of the last full measure," says great things about the one who has stepped willingly into the darkness of war and then looks into the face of God. Our youngest son Eric is Class of 2008 and our older son Chris is a 1st LT and Commander of the HHC of 1/161 IN just east of Baghdad. As we begin your journey with our youngest through the "Point," we share with you through our oldest those sighs and longings, the silent worries, then the unexpected letter or call, and a return to a parents longing and unanswered love. While our worries seem great, in light of your loss, we suffer but little. May you and others always hold dear his memory and believe that he lives again.
