Be Thou At Peace

Posted by SGT Martin J Mason US ARMY on December 17, 2009:

I would like to extend my thanks and gratitude to the four Co B2 1960 West Point classmates who went to great lengths to see a fellow classmate and support my family during this great time of loss. I would also like to extend my thanks and gratitude to those that responded to this eulogy as well as those who were not able to be with us during this time of need. It is refreshing to hear some of the stories that my father was not able to share with us. You have given my family and I a better understanding of his great character and yours.

It has taken me a long time to truly understand the West Point motto, "I will not lie, cheat, or steal nor tolerate those who do." Everyone who has supported my family and I through this great time of loss has truly displayed how deep that West Point traditions run.

I truly do wish the best of luck and courage to all of the 1960 Co B2 classmates who remain with us today, I also wish you all the best for your upcoming 50 year reunion.

Signed with the greatest sincerity,
SGT Martin J Mason and family
