I served as Col Jones's Operations Coordinator at the U.S. Defense Attache Office, Paris from 1998 to 2000. Col Jones was an outstanding leader, diplomat, and American, who did his country proud in a challenging, high-profile position. His concern for his subordinates, whether they be officers, enlisted or French employees, was always evident. His focus on the mission embodied the West Point motto: Duty, Honor, Country. I consider myself extremely fortunate to have served with this exemplary officer, who taught me so much and made me a better officer and a better person. Our prayers go to Pam and to his family. May he Rest in Peace. |
