George was one of the "Good Guys". I went to NMMI in 1975, scared of my shadow, not wanting to fail. George was by far one of the best people I met there in the 6 yrs I ended up staying at NMMI. He took me under his wing and helped me. He was kind to me when others were not. I can sincerely say that he is one of the men I learned the most from during my time there. We shared many meals and stories with my parents in the Clevenger Cafe (aka, my parents Winnebago parked in the natatorium parking lot) I am deeply saddened and shocked to hear of his passing. Thanks George for all those of us you touched and guided without even knowing how much it meant to us so long ago. Marshall Clevenger NMMI '75-'81 |
