I just learned of Kevins death today 25 Feb 2010. We served together in C company 1-30 Infantry. Kevin was a the rank of Private First Class at that time. Kevin Smith was what we all strived to be in a man, a friend, a soldier. I only knew him for a few months, and it was 10 years ago, but I remember him. Smith was the one who always got finished first and cheered the others home. Smith showed tricks to make us better at what ever it was we were doing. Smith walked taller then us all, but with a kind heart he could talk at ease with all. See you on the high ground smitty SFC Kinard Retired US Army. |
