Be Thou At Peace

Posted by George Ziots on March 3, 2010:

Denny I miss you. Think about you every time I get an e-mail about our class or think about my wedding. I can still hear your distinctive voice and see that shiner you had for the Howitzer picture. I remember that silver bracelet you got in Mexico, and that extra night at Fort Bliss, drinking Jack in the Black with a little water, around the pool. I still remember the story about Bunkie, LA. You said that the people there knew each other and did the right thing when needed. I wish to hell you did not die in Viet Nam. You are one of the guys I would really like to see after so many years. Last time I saw you was at Mike Grygiel's wedding. It was at the O Club at West Point. You were dancing like crazy to Gary Owen with those gals in the formal dresses. You, me and Jack Gerke said so long out by the curb.

Farewell my friend. I am glad to have known you.
