Be Thou At Peace

Posted by biff messinger on April 23, 2010:

I talked to Alan in January and we made plans to get together in May when I would be up in New York on business. We discussed Army Football, as usual, and how next year held promise for the Black Knights, as usual, and the Glee Club, one of Alan's favorite past times.

We talked about all the college ROTC units we both visited in upstate New York conducting FMPs and about the great quality of those cadets and midshipmen who have committed themselves to serving our country. We talked about USAA, Highland Falls and our friends at Military Affairs. But always, our conversation would return to West Point. Alan was so much a soldier, a gentleman and a true friend. He lived Duty, Honor, Country every day of his life.

I grieve along with all of Alan's many friends and offer my deepest condolences to Pamm and his family who were the center of his life.

I'll visit you in May Alan when I'm up at West Point. We'll hash over this year's quarterback situation, as usual.
