Be Thou At Peace

Posted by LTC Dave Jones on April 25, 2010:

Next week, the Yearlings (sophomores) at West Point will participate in the Annual Cemetary Tour... the intent is to showcase the lives of some of West Point's graduates from both distant and recent wars to inspire in our cadets a sense of "duty, selfless service, integrity, character and leadership through action." I am priviledged and honored to share Matt's story... and highlight what made him a quiet, humble and effective leader and person! Matt your example is shared so that others, future leaders in our Army and Nation, can grow, learn, and reflect! Thank you for being a superb role model... as a soldier, leader, son and husband! ... and thank you for reflecting all that is represented in West Point's Motto "Duty, Honor, Country!" I am honored to have known you and shared time with you and Maureen while you were here as Cadets! Please know that your words, your actions, your life are being shared so that others may become better leaders! God Bless, my friend! You are in our thoughts and prayers!
