I met John that first day in July 1969 with the 8th Cadet Company. We shared the harassment at the mealtime where we were peppered with knowledge questions - John was usually chosen by the upperclassmen to give the correct answer. His intellect and helpfulness were boldly apparent. He excelled in the classroom and rose to the challenge with the PE department. We were in the Catholic choir, on the Hop Committee and in Company I-4 together. He had a ready smile and a hugh desire to succeed. May you find comfort, Mrs. Twomey and family, in sharing your life with a man with talent, a keen mind and a warm heart. Marc Grunseth Class of '73 |
