May 30, 2010 -- Memorial Day in Scottsdale, Arizona where Mrs. Ong and I are visiting our daughter. The morning sky is blue, the Sonoran Desert air is crisp, and the sun's early rays are mildly warm on my weathered wrinkled skin -- it is a great day to be alive! Today is also a good day to remember my late classmate (and Camp Buckner Platoon buddy) Howie Guilhaus who served his country well. Be thou at peace, my friend. Brigadier General Ramon M.
