| Palmer my brother - just got the notification from Jack. Haven't wept in a long time but am crying like a baby tonight. Ray gave me your phone number at the reunion but as usual I procrastinated in giving a call. Palmer and I wrote each other's summary in the year book and of course we went out of our way to be irreverent - but that's not the way it was. Palmer Haines was a hell of a fine man and a true friend -a very special person. He will be missed by his old partner in crime and room mate. Rest in peace old friend. On the high ground! |
