Be Thou At Peace

Posted by Geoff Schmid on July 20, 2010:

Woody and I played Baseball together at West Point - - both pitchers. We had some great times trading stories in the "bull-pen" waiting to get in the game. Woody had a decent fastball and curve and was a great teammate - - good times on the bus ride up and down the east coast playing all the Ivy League schools and Navy in the ECAC.

Woody and I also happened to be stationed in Georgia together for a short period of time. He and I and Bill Wolfe had some exciting and fun times.

My wife never believed me when I said I had a friend named "Woody Ivandick". He was as unique as his name. A great friend and a great person. I will remember his smile and laughter.

God Bless.
