Jack's passing is a great lost for all of us, but especially for me. Jack and I worked together from 1962 to 1970 to develop efficient and effective ways to conduct irregular warfare operations. Then after 2001 we again worked together to bring success in Afghanistan and Iraq. I know full well his great contributions. He always did the harder right rather than the easier wrong. I know he can never be replaced. To my good and dear friend I say well done, be thou at peace. Sam |
