I had the distinct pleasure of knowing Bill but for a short time. We formed a new Society in The Villages, in Central Florida, in the fall of 2009. Bill and Ellen were at each function we have held. Bill's infectious smile, twinkling eyes, and positiveness were a great source of encouragement and enthusiasm for the 25 members of The Long Gray Line here in The Villages. As our initial Oldest Grad, he will be sorely missed. We all have been blessed to know this remarkable, gentle man and his memory will live within each of us until we Grip Hands with Bill once again.
