| I was surprised when I heard that John had passed. I was John's first Company Commander at Fort Leonard Wood and although I could tell that he would rather not be in a training company he was always enthusiastic about his duties and doing right by those who served under him. He always went the extra mile with a smile and positive attitude. I ran into him a couple of times over the years and he always had that great big smile on his face that lit up the whole area. He will be missed. |
