Be Thou At Peace

Posted by Victoria Belmont on October 17, 2004:

To the Family, Friends, and Classmates of Captian Dennis Pintor,

The following is a copy of the email which I immediately sent to my son, previously stationed in Iraq, my daughter, presently stationed in Afghanistan, and two of their classmates with whom I feel a privileged bond who have also served abroad. It expresses only briefly my feelings about their determination to succeed in their mission to bring stability and freedom to the peoples of Iraq and Afghanistan and the world. I am certain that the townspeople of Elida will make Dennis' wish an amazing reality. I extend my deepest sympathy, and humble gratitude to all of you who personally knew Dennis, for it is his sacrifice and yours that will help to change the world in a way that will allow us all to stand proudly.

Sincerely,
Victoria Belmont

Dear ---------------------------------------,

I am forwarding this news with a heavy heart for perhaps you have not already heard the news of the loss of another classmate, Dennis Pintor, or did not have the link to the eulogy site. As always, you are in my prayers and my heart. What you are doing, is making a difference. All you need do is to listen to your hearts. It is the kindnesses such as Dennis' efforts reveal, that will, with time, soften the hearts of a people who have lived too long in fear and have steeled away their own hopes and dreams.

May God be with us ALL,
Love,
YoMah
