I am one of Dennis' many friends here in Baghdad, and his loss has hit all of us very hard. I have known Dennis since the Prep School in '93, and have had the honor to serve with him in 1st Brigade, 1st Cav both at Fort Hood and Iraq. Everyone that knew Dennis was amazed at his ability to handle any task, no matter if it was difficult or exceedingly mundane. He was the consumate professional, and always accomplished the tough jobs with a smile and joke. He was a great friend, officer, leader, and mentor. He touched the lives of everyone that he came into contact with, and always left a lasting impression that made people honored to have been associated with him. Our memorial service on the 19th will honor a fine officer, man, and friend that will be sorely missed. Mark Weaver |
