I had the privilege of spending the first two years of West Point with Dennis as a company-mate and a teammate. Even early on in plebe year it was obvious to most of us that Dennis was a great leader and someone to emulate. When academics, athletics, and military duties were stretching us all very thin, Dennis had a way of making us realize that West Point was as much about developing tight bonds as it was about preparing us to be officers. If there was fun to be had in B4, you could bet Dennis was at the center of it. When it was time to go to work though, there was nobody more professional and more dedicated to getting the job done right than Dennis. I extend my deepest regrets and sympathy to Dennis? family and friends, and to Dennis: Well done. Be thou at peace. Peter Glantzis ?98 |
