Tony was a Firstie when I was a Plebe in Company A1 and were both assigned to the same squad. Tony was the absolute salt of the earth, having mentored and guided me and many others during my plebe year in brutal A1. He was truly like a big brother. I distinctly remember carpooling with him from Long Island to and from West Point several times on leave and getting to meet his future supermodel sister, Carol Alt. I shall remember him as a good intramural basketball player and even better human being. I was truly fortunate and honored to have had the privilege of knowing him. |
