Be Thou At Peace

Posted by Hal Lyon on December 23, 2010:

Butch was one of our group of classmates who attended Bradens in Cornwall-on-Hudson the year before we entered West Point. He always had a warm friendly countenance, making everyone feel accepted with his captivating smile and generosity.

Butch and his Nancy were always a "class act" and Butch a natural leader. I last saw him when we went to visit Will Roosma at Walter Reed just after Jae Stanton's funeral. Though stricken with the terminal cancer which fell him, he never let on that he was in pain or suffering, but instead helped us all have a great, fun-filled visit with his close friend, Will, whom he watched over, supported, and loved as a fellow brother in arms & play for many years. He will be sorely missed by all.

Butch, may you rest in peace. God bless you, Nancy.
