Be Thou At Peace

Posted by Christian Gemar on October 20, 2004:

Pintor family and friends,

My deepest sympathies and prayers are with you. I was crushed when I heard about this solemn event. I was next door neighbors with Dennis at the Prep School in Charlie Rock, a Highlander with him during Beast, and also with him as a B-4 Buffalo during our early formative West Point years. From his great sense of humor to his devotion to God, Family, The Corps and the Army, Dennis was simply a great man in every way.

From his encouragement of me to bury CPL Cardia's car in the snow at USMAPS (when I got numerous hours on the "Pad") to his help with Plebe DDS to the never-ending laughs when he and I and Jarvis Afualo were roommates as Yearlings, he always was a great friend, mentor and leader. A truly difficult thing for me to accept. Well done, Dennis. Be thou at peace.

Duty Will Not Wait

Sincerely,
Christian D. Gemar
