In the late summer of 1984 when the Buffs were just getting to know each other during reorg week, Mark would often enlighten the tension with his dry humor. His keen intellect and cutting wit would help us all as we navigated our journey through West Point over the next four years. We can all recount a moment where Mark touched our lives. I have never laughed as hard in a West Pt class room as when Mark recounted his Spring Break antics in French during a mandatory oral recitation. I chuckle to myself even as I think of it now. As we were often reminded by our Tacs and academic advisors, the Buffs of '88 were not the most studious, athletic or strac group to ever grace those hallowed halls but we were great friends who looked out for each other. Mark epitomized that spirit and those of us lucky enough to have known him are forever enriched! JF B4 88 |
