Glen Runnion was a year ahead of me in Co L-1 at West Point. He was a quiet, low key guy with a great, albeit dry, sense of humor. I remember when he was a firstie and I was a cow we had a little one-up-man-ship thing going on between us. One afternoon when I got back from class there was a small note attached to my door (by Glen although he never admitted it). To this day I remember the quote: "Vengeance is a deceiving act, bringing upon the avenger only a continued remittance of what would have been avenged." |
