Bill received the nickname, "Thumper", during our formative years in company F-1 at West Point and the name stuck. As roommate and good friend, I never found a dull moment in his presence. Thump was always good at creating excitement when he felt the conversation lagging or the moment becoming too serious. Even when you disapproved of his bizarre humor, you couldn't help but love him. I'm going to miss Thump. |
