Nathaniel Ambrose Gallagher

West Point, 1950

Be Thou At Peace

Posted by Bill Hancock on April 12, 2011:

Nate Gallagher was one of the true heros of our alma mater. A pilot in both the Korean and Vietnam Wars, he was decorated many times. He was from the famous class of 1950. After leaving the Service, he lived near us in Rowayton, Connecticut, actually in a house once lived in by an earlier military hero General Leslie Groves.

Nate set up and ran an executive placement agency for several years, and he helped many former Service officers find better jobs and lives for themselves and their families after their service to our country.

Nate was devoted to his wonderful wife, a well-known mover and shaker in our town. He helped care for his daughter and two granddaughters who lived with him. He was a great grandfather and a wonderful friend, and everyone who knew him will always remember Nate warmly.
