Be Thou At Peace
Posted by Jacquelyn Krupinsky on April 16, 2011:
Dan was one of Marv Krupinsky's roommates. They were also on the ski team together. Two quiet guys, two good friends. As married couples, Marv and I seemed always to be moving on post as Dan and Marilyn were moving off.
In Korea, when Marv was involved in building roads, he and Dan met up for a brief reunion. Marilyn and I have tried to figure out just where that was to no avail. But I am sure it was a sweet moment away from the toils of war.
Unfortunately, my meetings with Dan were fleeting and seldom. I only knew him as a fine, and caring man and one who took his friendships very seriously. When Roland Tausch died, Dan traveled from Boise, Idaho to be at the funeral. He performed the same kind act when Marv died.
When Dan died, Gerry Tausch and I sent flowers to the funeral in West Point Colors as near as we could get them and a black, gold and grey ribbon. We insisted that the florist write out the card as dictated, so the folks in Boise would know what kind of kinship is fostered at West Point.
I enter it as follows:
To the Family of Colonel Daniel G. Sharp
