I knew Kim well. As fellow Texans, we had a lot in common and I roomed with Randy Perkins, who like Kim, was from San Antonio, so I saw Kim frequently through that connection. I also saw him on the Debate Council and Forum and with the German Club. I did not serve with him after graduation, but saw him frequently, especially after we retired at mini-reunions held by Jim Pearl in San Antonio. I was shocked and saddened to learn of his passing.
